Pulled cover to see what my problem was found pin wore over half way through on the draft control lever and inlet filter tube bracket broken. Thats at first look I think soundguy had mentioned the cam pin worn out I believe thats the one thats worn over half way through can it be replaced are do you have to buy the whole lever section.Also how do you get the return filter out of there.Thanks for any information and help I can get.

Replace the worn cam pin with a 5/16" dowel of the same length.
Any industrial supply that sells bolts etc. should have them.
Sorry, I do not remember the correct length, either 1" or 1 1/4" long.
Put the assembly in a vise and tap the old pin out using the new one as a drift.
The filter comes out with a bit of work, it is attached to the tube.
Clean the whole sump while you have it apart.

thanks Brian I never thought about a dial pin, the filter I'am talking about is the mesh filter that's attached to the larger tube it looks like it is all one piece I have small paper filter off no problem. I going to weld the bracket back that broke.Trying to get everything cleaned up now and find every thing needed to go back together.
 
When i cleaned mine the filter ended up just twisting off the end of the tube ,, you have to take loose a few things to get it out

thats the one, I will try turning it to see if will come off.Tried 5/16 dowell pin it was .004 to big in dia. drove a 100 miles today to get one from cnh dealer than thing was $12.75 ouch that hurt but had to have it.

a 5/16 pin is bigger,,, its the norm to force it in the hole... ,, its a tuff go but will go...
