just wondering if anybody could tell me what type of 4" pistons i could use to put on a C169 rods as far as making the rist pin work

You can put new bushing in rod and have them sized to what you want. How are you going to get a 4in pistion in to that H.

lol trying to look for new options for next year even though it is only the start of this year always looking for a challenge what is the biggest bore for a 169 or 175

I was told that a 44 massey over 4in bore kit will work. But you have to weld in the sleeves.
I just heard this thru the grape vine I have never done it myself.

Chevy 4 inch pistons work great! You need to have some custom wrist pin bushings made. Or get bigger bronze bushings put in the rods and have them machined to fit the .927 Chevy wrist pin. The rods will be a little too wide on the small end so some careful grinding is in order.

Do you have a 4" block already? Its not as simple as birding the block to 4 inches and putting in the pistons.

A 4 inch block is possible! Not cheap! A 4inch block makes it easier for a larger stroke to clear the bottoms of the cylinders. See where I'm going here?? If I remember right 4" cylinders and a stock stroke is like 220 cubic inches. Not bad! But think about all the extra room for a 6" stroke!! Now you are talking power!! What else you wanna know?

4" pistons require a lot of work, new sleeves, and a good machinist! 3.75 or 3.81 is more feasible. Just saying its possible. I have also heard of larger H's out there but they are offset borred. E-mail is open if you have other questions.
