4-wheel drive combination tractor

I saw on RFDtv that someone had invented a device that combined two tractors with the front ends removed, they somehow had brackets and linkages to make the two tractors and combine them to make one four wheel drive tractor. I am not sure that I am describing this correctly but was really looking for a place where I can find pictures of this to show my father in law. I have tried doing a search on the internet but do not remember the name of the manufacturer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that is it. What are those called. I have never seen anything like that. I watched a show on tv that had some JD's and IH's hooked just like that. But thanks so much for posting those pics. I can try to print them off and show my dad in law because he has never seen them either.

Back in the 60s there were tons of them done with all models used. Some even used and extra engine powered it thru the pto or belt pulley for extra power so theres no fixed way it was done. Just take off front spindle and fasten it to the drawbar and go.

There were commercial built tractors in england called the Doe Dual Drive based on ford tractors of the time. You can do a google search using "Doe Dual Drive" or "Doe Triple D". Frank

Then there is Dan Dufner, from Buxton, ND, who put 3 JD two-bangers together. I believe at least until recently he was doing his farm work with two units coupled together, with a Sound-Guard cab on the driver unit. Can find it in Farm Show archives.

The manufacturer was Earnest Doe & sons, of Ulting, near Maldon, Essex, England. ( Just North of London) Called the Doe Dual Drive or Triple 'D', using Fordson Majors, the last were based on 2 Ford 5000 tractors and called the Doe 130. Doe's were Ford tractor dealers and as far as I know are still in business with New Holland as their main francise. The tractors make a lot of money, guide price for off farm in fair order is mid 50k and I am not talking Dollars!

There was at least one other company that had a similar set up. Might have been Ford, or sold through Ford, as the picture I have (I'll scan and post it, if I can find it) shows it set up with a 971 and a 6000.
