How much would a heisler head jump the compression ratio on a '40 B? How many horse could a guy get out of this tractor with a heisler head, a bore job with good pistons, good cam, changing rocker ratio, maybe lengthening the rods and carb work to fit the other work? Want to keep stock stroke.

a 40 b should have a flat hd on it already so it wont raise comp any..my brothers building a 40 b now...u can bore to std late b/50 pistons..have josh do rockers and cam. with flat hd and al pistons iam thinking its going to hand start hard. we r hoping for 40hp

I wonder what Ray does at Extreme tractor to get his be as powerful as it is . 40 hp won't come half way on his .

If you use the heisler head for THAT year, it's like the unstyled, has bulges that stick inside the chamber.

41-52 heads won't directly fit on that block.

If you're trying to keep it on the cheap, the best bet would be to swap out the 40 block with a 41-46 and use the updated heads, some good pistons and get the compression up where it can make some power.

me to, where can we get this set up ? do you hear this B puller , we're trying to get a pull set up , are you ready ? I'll come into Carolina and bring my little 66

Yea...I hear there are "B"s out there that are between 500 and 600 Cu In...!!

I guess at that point, it comes down to Balance and Luck..!
