4010 Standard - How many produced

I'm looking at a 4010 diesel that my brother found out west. It has a wide front, a cab, and a 46A loader. I'm not sure if the cab is factory or not,I've just seen a few pictures. The tractor appears to be a Standard from the fenders and the fact that the cab is entered from the rear. How many of these would have been made? Which transmissions were offered on the 4010? Which is more valuable?

I"m not sure of production numbers, but it sounds like a neat tractor especially with the rear entrance cab. The 46A loader is a neat little loader as well, and proper vintage for the tractor. All 4010 tractors have the standard synchro transmission with 8 forwards and 2 reverse. The only drawback may be that it does not have a rockshaft (since it has the rear entrance cab). You may need three point to use some of your implements?

There was a total of 12,260 4010 standards made. This includes 98 gas, 792 lp, and 11,370 diesel.

the 4010 had 3 reverse positions. the high reverse was too fast and was blocked out when the 4020 went into production.

I believe that JD literature advertised two (2)reverses for the 4010. Not all 4020 have their 3rd (behind 7th) reverse blocked out. I have a 69 model that has the high reverse.
