420T alternator conversion

So. I’ve got this late model 420T slant steer with power steering (I think that makes it a 58?)

Anywho I bought Steiner’s JDS6817 kit for the brackets and the alt since I didn’t have a core to go grab one from Napa. The alt they sent in the kit has a 1/2” pulley on it. Problem is, with power steering this tractor has a 3/8 belt. There in lies the problem. 3/8 belt won’t spin a 1/2 pulley well enough to charge and it slips like crazy. So I’m hunting for a pulley. Is there a good recommended diameter for the pulley?

The alternator on my 620 has a 2 3/4 inch dia. pulley on it, and it puts out a good charge. Not really sure if the pulley diameter really affects charge too much though.
