4250 pto leak

4250 powershift front of transmission there's a cap held in with retaining clip and i believe i need to replace the o ring on the cap. I was just wondering if I can just pull the cap out and repair or does it involve alot more? Thanks

There is no oring on the cap they are on the shaft. You have to split the tractor or remove the control valve on the left side to support the gear and keep the bearing from falling out.
