4400 Power steering.

Need to pull the power steering cylinder out of the tractor. Radiator is out of the way already. There is SO MUCH caked on grease I cant tell how it is all supposed to come out. Does anyone one have any experience with these things? Ill post pics later today of the whole mess. Thanks in advance.

4400 has the same steering cylinder setup as a 5000, there's a clevis pin in the axle support at the end of the cylinder, remove the cotter pin and drop the clevis pin down out of the support.
Remove the clevis pin holding the cylinders link bar to the steering arm.
Remove the clevis pin holding the steering actuator arm to the main center arm that the tie rod ends attach to and move it to the side. To completely remove the steering actuator arm you'll need to disconnect the drag link.
The pin holding the cylinder to the center arm is tapered like a tie rod, you'll need to remove the nut from the bottom, then using a jack and rod put pressure on the pin (Do Not jack the wheels off of the ground), place a large punch on the center arm need the end of the cylinder and strike with a hammer (2-3lb) to loosen the pin.
There's a bolt in the front of the center arm that holds the main pivot pin in if you need to access the pivot bushings

The clevis pins and tapered pin are wear points, it doesn't take much wear to cause steering issues, on my 5000 we welded the tapered pin up (don't weld on the tapered part) and ground it back down to a good fit in the cylinder, that pin cost nearly $100.
