FINALLY GOT THE CLUTCH PROBLEM FIXED PRESSURE PLATE WAS AT FALT! THANKS TO ALL THAT HELPED ME....HOWEVER NOW I DON'T HAVE HYD. THE LOADER HAS NOTHING P/S WON'T WORK IS THERE ANY THING THAT WOULD GO BAD FROM JUST SPLITTING IT AND PUTTING IT BACK SEVERAL TIMES IT ACTS LIKE THE PUMP ISN'T WORKING? IFYOU PULL THE LEVER FOR THE LINES IN BACK W/ NOTHING HOOKED UP IT WON'T EVEN MAKE A NOISE?? IS THERE SOMETHING THAT COULD PLUG UP,,AIR IN THERE?? OR COULD THE PUMP HAVE JUST WENT OUT??

Have you tried putting air against the fill to "push" the oil to the pump?

A pump can sometimes take a bit to prime itself. I put a brand new pump in my 966; took about 5 minutes of run time to finally purge all the air.

I LET IT RUN A WHILE...MAYBE NOT LONG ENOUGH? HOW DO YOU GET OIL TO PUMP W/ AIR IF AIR IN THERE IS THE PROBLEM? THANKS

It should eventually prime up and go. I have that trouble with my 450 sometimes.

Hoss, that is what I do with mine. It took a long time the last time. I would keep trying the hitch and power steering, then it finally went to working. Mine leaks a bit, and if not used for 6 or 7 months, it leaks all the oil out of it, then it is a chore to get it to prime, but always has so far with time. I might get all the stuff wrong with it fixed in another 20 years or so. It was like this when I bought the old gal, and haven't gotten it in the shop yet.

I recently took the pump off of my MTA. It took me a couple days of running it for a while and working the hydraulics up and down to finally get'er to run smooth for the entire stroke of the cylinder. I was actually starting to get concerned about it myself, but then all of sudden it came out it.

Bob, mine done the same thing. It wouldn't even move the cylinder or nothing. Finally I turned the steering wheel one morning and heard the pump whine a bit. In just a few minutes it was working perfectly. I bought another pump and everything. It started working the day before the new pump arrived. I have an extra now though.

Sometimes putting the front of the tractor down in a ditch so that the pump is lower will get them to prime. If not there is a small plug on top of the pump that you can remove and let the air excape.

Guys I had the same problem. Tried everything I could think of, for months. My experince came from changing the fluid and cleaning the filter. Nothing happened, I tried all the tricks yuns mentioned and nothing worked. Checked all lines and figured out that no oil was coming from the pump. So I decided to push it to the pump. Took the breather cap off the upright tube on top of the resivor. Then used a blow-off chuck with a rubber end and gently put the pressure to the tube with the engine running, pulled on the hydro-touch levers and instantly it bled the system of air. Some times a fellar will try just about anything, but it works. But be careful with the air it don"t take much. when you start to remove the air chuck from the tube be cautious of the escaping pressure. If you would like more specifics give me a shout.
