460 - transmission fluid filter

We bought a 460 last year and immediately changed the hydraulic filter a long with all most of the other fluids and all the filters. Worked good for a while but seemed to keep getting weaker as this
summer went on. Checked the hydraulic pressure and it was down to 800 PSI. Pulled the filter again and it looked fairly clean until you really dug into it and there was a lot of gunk in the pleats
(not dirt just sludgy oil). Bit the bullet and drained the hydraulic fluid - still didn't look too bad. Refilled it with a cheap hydtran equivalent. With the new fluid and filter it tested at 1450
PSI.

I can't find a real spec- some people claim 1500 PSI is all they ever had and others claim it should have 2000 PSI. Which is it?

12-1500 allowing for ware on the pump and also depending on just what pump is in that tractor or has been changed over the years as ya could find a 12 GPM pump or ya could find a 17 GPM pump. And this pressure check needs to be done at operating temp of the oil at around 160 and up .

Yeah - it hit the 1450 mark with fairly cool oil - definitely not operating temp. But it is still almost double what it was when the first test was done without warming up the oil.
