Thanking you for the help with turning the 4440 up
Hope you can help me with this as well...
Will be running a Hesston 4 * 4 baler and have found out that the 4440 have the power (seen a 4250 pulling a 4800) but it's a 2wd and a Hesston baler is heavy.
So, now i'm looking at a big JD SG2 with mfwd. Think a 4450 or 4455 is a bit to small though so I'm now looking at a 4755 or 4955. Since I am living in europe it's impossible to find 4760's or 4960's but sometimes there are 47-4955's sold that have the exhaustpipe pulled away from the hood and are made 1994, probably 47 or 4960's made in us and sold as 55's here.
The questions are, what is the difference between 47 and 4955's? Is a 4755 simply a detuned 4955, in other words, possible to turn up to the hp of an 4955? Or is the turbo, transmission or something different? What is the price for them in US with 8000 hours, 70% tires and in good shape?
4850 is a quite common tractor but is hard to find in good shape but I believe the 55's are better?
Read that the 60 (late 55's here) series are quite bad with engine and electricalproblems, is that true?
