Ran my 660 over 50 acres of ground in the last month with no issues until the last day or two. Noticed a change in sound maybe fuel or maybe electrical. Required more choke to start last couple days. Ran a crisp bill through the points and seemed to improve for a half hour then went downhill and limped to the barn. Changed points, problem solved.
Just got off my 8N sounding very much like the 660. Required holding choke to get in. I normally think of that as a carb problem (and might be).
What would cause choke to help with weak spark? Increased cylinder pressure from added fuel lowering ignition point?
Its a front mount so the crisp bill through the points wont be as easy.
