#5 corn picker

Just bought a #5 corn picker at a farm auction and was wondering if someone could tell me what year it was made. Serial number is 990096 AV was built in Southbend IN. I read on another post on here that they were made in Southbend from 63-72.

I Have an older one and I beleive it was built in Shelbyville, Illinois

And before that they were built in Battle Creek MI. Till 62 or 63 don't remember which. Then they moved production to Shelbyville IL.

Your serial number has to many numbers. If the serial number is 99096 AV, it was built in 1972.

Your picker should have been painted all green except for the white wheels and white noses? No galivimazed parts should be on it.

Yea your right fat fingered to many 0's. My machine is all green with white wheels and cones and seems to have been inside most of its life because it still has most of it's paint except for normall usage wear. Thanks for the info I appreciate it.
