5000 blows steering cover

It did warp but I put a straight edge on it and straightened it out before reinstalling going to check over the sector shaft endplay again don’t know how much it should be but apparently some steering works fine till it blows out the gsk.

If it's busting the two bolts every time that the gasket blows, I would say that the gasket isn't losing pressure until the bolt bust loose and the cover is allowed to deform, so it's not the gasket that's blowing first, otherwise the pressure would be released when the gasket gives out and the bolts wouldn't be damaged.

I’m goin to get some grade 8 bolts to install the plate with since I have to remove it to check the end play on the sector shaft this tractor has been sitting for sev years because of this problem and I don’t know what has been done to it in the past

Make sure that bolt is NOT bottoming out..as a suggestion.

Got back on my 5000 and straight the plate used some jd white silicone and new grade 8 caterpillar bolts installed plate and let sit for a day running fine now thanks for all your help
