We have a 500B tractor that has a 164 wet sleeve engine. Does anyone know where one might find sleeves and pistons for this engine? There is a listing in the Case parts book for wet sleeve kit no longer avail. The bore is 3 9/16ths which makes it a 164 as a G-159 has a 31/2in bore. Thanks

CK,
When I get a job in the shop that I can't
buy liners for ,I bore and sleeve the old liner
as long as the pistons are good. If I have the
block it's not too difficult , if I don't have
the block I have to make a fixture to hold the
sleeve without distorting it .
Mostly I do that to the old continental and
waukesha engines .
Email if you want to chat about it .

A 164 IS A DRY SLEEVE Engine ,we had 2 600's with the same Engine ,we sold the one, 15 years ago,the other one got scraped ,it had the M&W kit in it,the Crankshaft broke at the Center Main.the pistons are here, the Sleeves are still in the block.I am not sure if they are use able after it broke.607-564-7536 if you might have any interest.

Replacement engines were in fact WET SLEEVES in the 164 case. No parts have been available for a number of years. Not many produced = no parts. Such is this CASE. I have one and would be interested in the sleeves if you find someone to make them. JR

I think the early 530 G159 sleeves and pistons may fit. The 164 sleeves measure 4.109 across the top flange and 3.88 at the o-ring. This is the same as the 159 sleeve. The bore is 3 9/16 vs 3 1/2 on the 159. The cranks are the same and the rods are the same as far as I can tell. The last 530's measure 4.57 across the top flange, this is information I was given by my supplier. I'll keep you posted.

The engine pieces parts are sold seperatly through case and all avalible. I just bought a whole set for my 500B. If you need part numbers I can provide them for you
