504 case motor

My experience is that they are all good. Problem is that the proper steps are not always taken before and after installing. I will go into my diseration if requested.

I have had the best luck with felpro. Make sure you tighten the manifolds to the heads before torqueing heads down, or you will get them crooked and crack a manifold.

The proper way to torque down the heads is to put on the intake and exhuast along with the water jacket. They don't have to be tightened down all they way you just want them snug to keep them the heads in line. I have overhauled two 504's and got by with just putting the exhaust manifold on also. Its up to you.
