# 51 Plow parts

Hi there I have a # 51 single furrow Deere plow, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on where i would look for part numbers for points, shares and a board for this old plow ?
Thanks

I took a quick look on the old parts and could not find much of anything, it looks like there might be 430s stamped on the board near the back. Is there any certain spot that i should check for numbers ? From what I can tell it looks like a 16 inch bottom.

Thanks

I don't believe shares or moldboards are still available for the 51. You'll probably have to find a good used one. The land slide is also no longer available, but can be fabricated. I made a new one for my 51 that works fine and looks correct. It takes some time w/ a file to make the squared off bolt holes, but it isn't difficult.
The shares on most of the 51's were designed to be sharpened. Points were often replaced with new ones, that had to be welded in place of the old one after it was cut off. I have a local machine shop that has a bucket of new points, but there hasn't been much call for plow point replacement for many years.
