53 Ford 8N ?

Is there a such thing as a 53 Ford 8N ? I have seen a few references and people claiming a 53. Is it true or could it be it was just a 52 that was finished in early 53.
That said I can't read the serial number on mine, but it does have 8N-C and K22 by the starter. If I'm right that would be Dec.22 1952 Possibly one of the last 8n's produced.

No such thing as a 1953 8N last year they where made was 1952 then in late 1952 they started production of the 1953 Jubilee and the Jubilee was the only tractor made in 1953. There are a lot of people that do not know the difference in the 8n Jubilee/NAA and the hundred series tractors and they call them all Ns which they are not. One sure way to know if it is one of the 3 N series tractors is to look at the engine because they are flat head engine but on the Jubilee they switch to the valve in head engines and from then on all had valve in head. 9N 1939-1942 2N 1942-1947 8N 1948-1952. Notice that each tractor number matches first year made that is where there name came from year made

People are frequently claiming they have a 1947 8N, too, but the first model year was 1952. Even if the tractor was built in 1947 it doesn't make it a 47 model. The '57 Chevy I had in high school was built in 56 but that didn't make it a '56 Chevy.

However, I thought I saw a list one time that showed some 52 8Ns were made in early 1953. Is that not possible?

(quoted from post at 23:32:13 08/22/10) O.K., here we go again. Go ahead and call it a '53, you'd be no more incorrect than Kenster and old. Pete

I had it backwards, There were a couple thousand or so NAA's that were built in 1952, NOT 52s that were built in 53.

So then how is it that I am wrong. No such thing as a 1953 8N 9N made from 1939 to 1942 then in 42 te 2N was started till 1948 and in 48 the 8N till 52 so how is all that wrong. Ya in 47 they started production of the 8N but still called a 48 model so fill me in

Thats what I thought, I would have guessed that there where still 52 8N's rolling out the factory or lot in early 53...The only reason I was asking is mine has K22 in the casting by the starter. I can not make out the serial number but doesn't K22 mean Dec 2, 52 ? If thats the case it probably scooted out the door just before the hoiday break...
