53 Jubilee spindle

I had some play in the spindle on the old gal and tore it apart this morning to relace the bushing and thrust bearing. I found the spindle itself wore and lots of play between the spindle O.D. and the bearing I.D. The bearing I.D. is 1.350 and the O.D. of the spindle were the bearing sets is 1.245. Is is ment to have over .100 play between the two? it does not show that much wear. maybe .005. Not .05

The 1.35 is the bottom bushing top is 1.25

Both bushing are 1.250 ID. The thrust bearing Id is 1.350. The hole spindle OD is 1.250 There are two bushing and one thrust bearing per spindle. The spindle does not show over .05 wear on it were the thrust bearing sits. Just seems odd to have that much play. The thrust bearing sita about .50" below the lower bushing.
