I need to get a kit for the carb on my 550, but I noticed that it is missing the I.D. tag. Looks like there were a few Marvel Scheblers listed for that application. Can anyone tell me what the MS number should be? My I&T manual that covers the fleetlines has a table that list the serial # breaks for each different carburetor. Maybe the 550 manual lists the carb #'s also?
Thanks

You may find that one main gasket fits all the differant numbers is all you need. .Leave the brass fittings where they are.Just blow it out with lots of high pressure and VOLUME.Also it would clean the best the wetter the air.If the needle is not rusted use it again.Look at the float setting before you remve it so you will know to leave it the way you found it.CENTAUR

First of all the big difference is venturi size. The early 144 cubic inch engines have a smaller venturri than the larger 155 cubic inch engines. How about a serial number.
