560 problems, HELP please.

I have a ih 560 with a 301 all is stock. had the manifold off and checked out the carb, cleaned it all and, put new manifold gaskets in, and got it all bolted up, and now. it dosent want to idel and it will have a slight miss. But dosent miss under a load?. im stumped. ive had the carb off 4 times and checked it all over. and it back fires if you rev it up. ?????? thanks

Did you get all the old gaskets off? Friend of mine once did this on a Oliver. He had just cleaned off the gasket material on one of the ports and left the little steel piece. Vic

ill check that tomorrow, it frusterating me alot. if you know what i mean??!?. i have a pull on sat. and i work 10hrs a day, not alot of free time, but its just a hobby! lol

took manifold off. its all nice and clean no dirt or old gaskets. the air screw has to be almost all the way in for it to run. DECENT. sometimes will idel but it still dosend sound right.? carb fland and bottom of intake are wet. ?.

Sounds like your intake is cracked .

check for intake leaks.... while the tractors running spray carb cleaner around where the intake bolts to the head and if the tractor accelerates seconds or emidatly after that you have a intake leak. easy way to check.. little trick my dad taught me.
