566 roll baler net wrap problem

My 566 roll baler sometimes the net wrap will wrap arount top roller. I have used baby powder and talcom powder but it still will wrap around the top roller. It does not do it everytime. Sometimes it might do it every other bale and sometimes it might roll 100 bales before it does it. Any ideas how to fix the problem?

Don"t know anything about Deere balers but my with my Krone it seems to help if I slow the baler down while starting the net. Once the net speeds up and you know the bale has it you can throttle back up and away you go. Maybe it"s something with the net this year, previously it only happened once in a blue moon and I didn"t worry about it.

Are you talking about the top roller in the bale chamber? If you are, this problem occurs when you make oversize bales. Our 567 does this too. I set bale size at 68" to try and keep this from happening.

we had same problem. we have 535. 1st clean the rollers with a brush and hot soapy water. then we use only cornstarch, seemed to help alot. still had some problem , not near as bad. we then put on new forming belts, it has not happened since , not sure if this has anything to do with it or not.

Is it the rubber roller in netwrap attachment or the top roller in the baler? 2 totally different problems. Rubber roller wrapping could be static electricity or humidity which talcum powder is the cure or it could be a cut/nick which JD offers a repair kit. A sharp well adjusted netwrap cutting knife is also necessary and correctly adjusted netwrap roller brake. If it's the top roller nicks in forming belts caused by rocks or other foreign objects and frayed belt lacings can grab net just as it started on the formed bale.

I am referring to the top net wrap roller on the back of the baler. Both rollers have dry rot cracks and the top one has cuts from a razor knife from the previous owner. What is the repair kit part number from deere. My dealers have never mentioned it they said the top roller is 830 and the bottom roller is 1250.

Check the brake shoe. If it is worn, it will do this. My 466 has a similar problem. The JD tech replaced the brake shoe and this helped. Good luck, Roy

Honestly you probably need new rollers. Those things can be very touchy about wrapping up the net instead of putting it on the bale. I wanted to burn my 535 a couple of times because of this same problem. If you can find a good deere baler tech he could help you out alot as well.

Which surface wrap attach. do you have ? Early or late? I was thinking the lower surface wrap roller was only metal. So a good piece of sandpaper(Crokers cloth) should fix it. I tried to find the rubber repair kit in JDparts.com to no avail.

As soon as my dealer opens I'll ask the parts dept. I may have been DREAMING.

As previously stated a good, correctly adjusted rubber brake pad is essential for good operation.
