I'm looking for info on adjusting the brakes on my new to me 580 backhoe. Looking for service manuals,parts,operator too. I got a smoking deal and want to get it fixed up so it will stop and start like it should.
Super Trucker, What model 580? I posted a parts question around Jul Aug for a 580C brake parts and got some good links. Might search for that post.There have been several tips in the forum for brakes such as increasing the ball size. The brakes on mine are simple to adjust(maybe not easy) once you figure out how they work. JB.

Early 580 no letter. It has the removeable hoe like a 3pt. If I had to guess late70's . Serial tag is half gone.

580CK were made 1966-1971, that type of 3pt is called a MOD-HITCH I have two of them for my 580CK I can post you the info on the brake suff if you need same procedure as a 430/530, if it has the "tractor-tread" CASE logo like on a "70" series tractor it is a 70-71 model mine in the pic is a 71, mine has a 580B cab on it
