the posotive post on my 1967 oliver 1650 gas coil bust off yesterday, went to Tractor Supply and grabbed a 12 volt coil as it is a 12 volt system but when i took the old one off the tractor i saw it was only a 6 volt coil. Is the 12v the correct one or why was there a 6v on the tractor? does it have a voltage reducer somewhere in the system?
