60 LP

60 LP STILL WILL NOT STAY RUNNING. DOING THE SAME THING AS SAID THE 630 LP WAS DOING ON 6/15. I HAVE TRIED ALL OF THAT AND HASN'T WORKED. IT WILL START SOMETIMES, BUT ONLY IDLE. WILL NOT TAKE ANY THROTTLE AT ALL. ANY THING ELSE TO TRY?

Did you take the fuel filter & screen off and clean they will gum up and stop fuel flow?

I finally got my 630 lp to run and drive, but it will only start with the throttle all the way back, it will start, run, and drive everytime but as soon as I give it any throttle its done, Im still at a loss as well.

I would think it would have to be the fuel filter, air breather, or the carb has something plugged. It's slightly possible that the check valves on the tank is seating on you when you give it the gas so you might try opening the valves real slow and after starting it move the throttle forward slowly and see if that makes a difference. Does it die instantly or does it seem to choke and sputter a few times before it dies? Oh and if you have taken the air breather off to clean it out be sure to remove any rags you stuffed in the openings to keep dirt out. Don't ask how I know.

lp tractors are made to start with trottle all the way back and maybe one inch forward, varies. So many people dont understand lp, Every one who owns a lp trator needs to learn how lp works.Most of the time its not taking the proper procedures.

1.take the fuel line off the out side of the fuel solenoid and turn key on.you should have a fast flow of fuel.
2.NO FUEL check to see if solenoid is clicking when you turn on key.clean filter in base of valve.
3.does the diaphram in the heat exchanger have a hole in it?is the fuel valve in the exchanger clean.
4.is this tractor a working machine or a showpiece.working tractor! replace the carb with an impco

I DID CLEAN THE FUEL FILTER. IT DOES CLICK WHEN THE SWITCH IS TURNED ON. THE AIR FILTER IS FULL OF OIL. GETTING FUEL OUT OF STRAINER. DOWN TO THE CONVERTER. DON'T KNOW. LOOKING FOR A CONVERTER TO SEE IF IT IS THE PROBLEM. THE CARB. LOOKS GOOD AND CLEAN. WAS RUNNING FINE LAST YEAR. I AM LOST ON IT. DOWN TO THROWING PARTS AT IT TO SEE IF IT WORKS.

carefully take the diaphram out of the convertor and see if it has a hole in it.

it may not have a tear or hole,but hold it up to the sun if you can see thru it anywhere it must been replaced.i have even temperarily repaired the diaphram with rtv silicone

Check the rubber fuel line from the converter to the carburector. The inside layer of rubber in the hose has probably peeled off, bunched up, and is blocking the flow of fuel. This happened on my 4010 LP. No telling how many hours and money spent on sparkplugs, wire, points, electronic ignition (works good by the way), etc. The tractor would start and sometimes run, but then put it under a load & it would quit or spit and sputter. This has been three or four years ago. I haven't even replaced the hose yet; just took a large diameter drill bit, reemed the hose clean & put it back on. Hasn't missed a beat since.

Just put a new hose on it. Old one looked fine. Even put a new air hose on it. That one did have a hole in it, still did not make a difference. The diaphragm in the convertor looked fine, but still could have a hole in it.
