60 won't run

As the heading says, she won't go. It will try, but not go. I was working it last fall when it lost power and would barely make it back to the house. Spark looks good, I replaced plugs, wires, points and condenser, coil- new distributor cap ordered. Cleaned carb today, has fuel in float bowl. Compression at about 100+ psi- even both cylinders. Valves set, appear to be working normally. Air filter oil clean. I am wondering if it may be intake manifold related, but with carb off and hand placed over ports when cranking it seems to have plenty of suction. I haven't tried using ether to test for leaks because I can't get it to run long enough to do so. It will fire a bit when cranking but not the way it should. Any ideas? I do not want to go replacing parts until I know better what the problem is.

Does it have the "Automatic fuel shut off" on it? I've seen some 60's with them. If it has that I would start there. If it has it check your oil to be sure it hasn't failed and diltued your oil with an excessive amount of gas.
If it does have it you whould be able to test it by losening the nut on the very top and pressing it down with something. If your wondering, it is a round thing on top of the sediment bowl with 2 oil lines into a "T" fitting. One from around the gov. the other one goes up to The oil pressure gage If I remember right.
Anyway if it has that I would start there. Just my opinion based a problem my 70 was having.

Fuel appears to flow normal. I pulled line off of carb and pushed down button and flowed fine. Drained carb to see how much was in float bowl, appeared like there is plenty available.

Pull the plugs, put a little fuel in each spark plug
hole (make sure hole is clean before removing plug)
put plugs in and try to start it. Will tell you if
its the gas system. If it fires up, runs a little
and quits, it is the carb most likely.

Is the choke turning off? If the spring breaks that pulls it shut, the butterflys don't open all the way when the choke is off.

check if distributor has moved on you , sounds like its moved a bit and timing is off ,, or the weights have either seized or weight springs have broken and its fully advanced and trying to start with way too much advance
