600 ignition switch

Have to jiggle my key to get fire to the
points on my 600. Will any auto on and off
switch work as a replacement?

Yes those stitches are not known to be too robust. Replacement is not expensive and they are not difficult to install.

any switch capable of handling dc5a and with a insulation rating exceeding 2x of the supply voltage, and you are fine.

a wire nut would work.

a household lamp switch..

toggle switch... etc..

I know a guy that has a 2 position lamp switch.. 1st position ( parking lamps ) actually is ignition.. 2nd position is both.. parking lamps and lamps.. etc..

Most any simple 2 wire switch will work just fine as long as it is rated with the correct amps. So yes a simple 2 wire ignition key switch you by at an auto parts store will work just fine if it will fit in the hole that is
