620 starter

I had starter rebuilt on tractor trying to put it back on I can not get it to slide thru opening. I think the arm on the starter switch is not lining up to come thru top opening. Any ideas or suggestions how to hold that bracket up high enough to get it thru. I had it off years ago and did not have problems putting it back on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ed.

slip a wire threw openning behind flywheel and tie to starter lever ,as you put starter in have someone pull up on the wire you have tied to it , after its in take wire off.
