can you pull start a 630 COM?
I don"t have one never even drove one, but someone ask me that question the other day. Thought I would ask you guys in the know.

no, it has a torque convertor between the engine and trans, with the engine not turning no oil pressure to lock up the clutch packs

case shoulda put a park pall on all automatics ,, terrible disservice ,imho and it hurt the company bad ,brakes and chox are the only way to bold them ,, my 800 case o matic has been Roled and or pull started many times ...the 800 has a decompresser , by crankin the motor over in gear the tranny will start to engage ,, simply lok up the torque converter, while crankin the motor , dump the decompresser ,,and it will start

So, given you sound green to old Cases and you said son... Be careful with that 630 and a young operator. Given this info said in previous posts the brakes need to be in decent working order on these COM's unless you live on very flat ground. It is not an optimal 1st tractor for a boy to learn on either. Be very cautious hitching it and parking with a load to the drawbar. The brakes are decent to hold the tractor but park on an incline with a wagon of grain or something and you can have at best a leaning moment.
