641 Workmaster fuel sending unit

I plan on replacing the fuel sending unit in the gas tank of my 641 Workmaster, my question is do you need any special tool to remove the nut on top of the unit, any tips would be much appreciated.
 
Hi I just used a chisel and a small ball peen hammer and tapped it loose.
