Picked up a 656 believe a 1967. Has a loader on it and would like to hear from others that have the same set up. I believe there has to a better way of running the hydraulics. All they did was plug into a rear remote that feeds a valve bank bolted to the fender. In order to run the loader you need to bungee cord the #1 hyd lever that feeds the back to get hyd flow. Can’t a person plumb this directly and use existing leavers on the machine?

Yes you can plumb directly into the outlets. I'm assuming you have two valves by your description. Only drawback is you have no outlets for other uses

I have had a pair of 656/2250 loaders set up using the bungee cord method for 20 and 25 years. If I'm baling that takes higher engine RPMs, I take the bungee cord off. No problems for the lower RPMs when loading or feeding. A lot simpler and cheaper than trying to find a power beyond adapter.

Never seen or had a power beyond, but.. A plate that bolts to the end of the valve stack to run the loader/implement without tieing up the remote circuits. Google it. Looks like they start around $500, plus the needed plumbing. Bungee cord is a lot less.
