6610S Alternator wiring

I have purchased an Alternator for my 6610S ford. The existing alternator has a terminal that is marks "W". It is an insulated terminal but there is no wire attached. The other three terminals have wires and seem to be correct. The 4th wire is a black wire that attaches to a screw that is one of the 4 screws that holds the alternator together. Is this a correct wiring?

If not.. i have a 7610s at home and will take a look at it this evening and post again. i'm not near it now.. so don't remember..

Thanks for the reply. Actually it looks a little different. There are 4 wires. Battery is red wire. Two plugs are rectangular shape and they are ok. The 4th one is a black with a white stripe. The Terminal that is marked as STA above, on mine is marked as W. It is insulated also. Except the red wire that has + polarity I can not identify the other wiring. I am thinking that the black with white stripe is a ground wire. I am not sure and that is my concern.

Ok.. on my 7610s, the W terminal has a small white wire with a rounf post push on connector. There is a black wire with white tracer on a spade plug and a black wire with a blue tracer on a spade plug, the charge wire is a heavy black wire, and back behind it, there is another push on round connector that is seemingly just pushe don to one of the bolts holding the alternator case together ( the bolt head has some thread out the top for this.. ).

You have a digital dash? "W" is the pick up for the rev counter usually.

I'd also assume that the "W" terminal is a sender for an electronic tach. It would not be used on your tractor since it has a manual tach... The wires on yours should be a BAT, a signal wire for the idiot light and battery voltage sense wire, much the same as a Delco 10si. The other wire that's grounded to the case is just a ground wire. Sounds correct to me...
