I was lookin at buying a 70 gas from neighbor and was wondering what it was worth it dosent currently run but a battery and carb kit would.
The sheetmetal is in good shape like new tires and one ring of new gen wheel weights the tractor does not have powersteering any help would be great thanks

In southeast Iowa it would be worth somewhere between 2500 to 3000, if it had power steering it would be worth a little more too.

How do you know a batt. and carb kit will make it run? and how will it run? Any tractors worth is ONLY determined by what the seller is willing to take and the buyer wants to give according to HIS judgement!! Someone's opinion who doesn't have one or don't want one doesn't have much value!!!!!

I just sold a 70 Gas w/power steering, that I have been showing, that is perfect, and has new rubber for $3500. I sold it to the son of the guy I bought it from originally. It would have
brought $4000 or better had I sold it publicly.

Joe....depends a little on your location, but here in the midwest it would bring $2200 to $2500. A non-runner could have some surprises when you get it home. Common problems with the 70's were cracked /loose flywheels, transmission problems with 3/4 gear and burned out manifolds. Should check these over. The other big factor in value is the size/condition of the rear tires and rims. Sounds like this one is ok in that regard. The lack of power steering will be a negative when/if you try to resell it. If it does not have live pto...that's another negative.
