700 hp

i need 700 hp out of a 504 @ 3500rpm for a 12000 hot farm class any ideas were to start? thanks

Back in the early 70's, CASE engineers were able to get 400HP out of a 504 on a test stand.

Not much of a problem at that RPM. We are getting 600 at 2200

Start by visiting several pump and turbo shops. You will need pump lines injectors and turbo at the least. An altered cam can help, altered too much and the pistons will need a little tuning.

1170 special what kind of turbo are you running and how much fuel? Do you still have the stock injectors in the heads? Have you done any head work?
thanks. I pull a 1170 with a 504 also and think we are somewhere around 500hp but haven"t checked so just wondered what the differences where.

Mine has a 425cc pump, 4x.020 injectors (probably need bigger), .093 lines, some minor head porting, cam, HX52 with 16cm housing, pistons cut for the cam, and fire ringed sleeves. Boost is at 62psi, and I figure it makes around 500hp at 2750rpm. I'm not the most experienced puller, but I figure to get to 700 hp, I'd need an intercooler and water injection, which isn't legal in the class I run. Could probably use more head work also.

yes, by reinforcing the right rear corner of the block, that's where they like to tear a chunk outat higher hp outputs
