706 battery help needed

I bought two sets of batteries for my 706 d they are too tall and do not fit the cover. someone said try 2e batteries. does that sound right and if so where to get them. the old ones were stolen and my case dealer is no help

I am going to guess that you have 3et batteries. I use 3ee batteries, they are a little shorter. 3et's are a little too tall for an Ih
tractor. These are 12 volt batteries, 6 volts are 3eh.

3eh is still to tall. it will ground out on the hyd fitting. from what is see 2ee is 8 7/8 and I think that will work if I can find them

Tractor supply has the shorter ee batteries. Also any worthwhile CaseIH dealer will be able to get you a set if they don't have them in stock.

I've used 3EE's in the past, NAPA bat number 7250.
