My dad and I have a ih 706 D282. we recently put a M&W turbo kit on it. It had been running fine but i noticed it now has oil coming out of the exhaust side of the turbo. I don't know alot about turbos. is there a seal or o-ring that might have went bad? or does it have another problem?

Could be the turbo shaft seal. Could also be coming from the oil rings. Have you tried working the tractore hard to see if the oil clears up?

More then likely the turbo seals and this is not a DIY project. Since i do not know where you are from i can not realy give ya a good idea on just where to take it , as it may need more then seals . If it has to have a new shaft and wheel then it will have to balanced . I don't have a book on that turbo so i can not even tell ya for sure that there is a modern replacement .

Time for a rebuild or replacement. If you have the TRW or Rayjay they can be expensive around 500 bucks.I use AirReasearch replacements their less money. One off a AC XT190 will work on the 706 I did this on my 656 and 706 their the same kits.If you go this route you will need to shorten the intake pipe about a inch and the pressure side also no big deal every thing else bolts right up.

Are you sure that it is oil? Have you been real easy on it lately (putt sin around and not working it very hard) Sounds like it could be a case of slobbering. If it is not bellowing blue smoke work it and work it hard for four or five hours and see if it cleans up.HTH
