ok so i've searched, and searched, and even searched some more. im having to rewire this entire early 70s massey135 with 3cyl gas motor. (damn engine fires) replaced the volt reg (vr715), and replaced the alternator. i've tried patching the wiring as best as a color blind guy can. the tractor ran after i did this but the Field of the alt stayed on even when the key was shut off. i can not find a decent diagram stating what the 4 points on the reg go to. i'm about sure that the F goes to the F term on the alt. but the other 3 are quite a mystery. all 4 wires are used, and i dont care about the gauge that can be done at another time. we just need this running. (hay is a growin quick)
so my question is, what is the 2 go to? it has a jumped red wire, looks like it went to the key.
the 3 is a light blue wire (?) that i have currently going to the B pos term on alt.
the 4 is a pink wire that seams to be going to the battery positive cable.
what am i missing or what did i wire wrong? the terminal block survived so thats where im getting my colors, but only about 5-6 inches of wire survived the damage.
