Has anyone had problems removing the locking pins from a 720 loader? We need to remove the loader off the tractor and cannot get the horizontal locking pins to budge! The pins are secured by a cotter pin wich has been removed but they seem to be welded into the pipe tey slip into. Hope that makes sense. Anyway, am I missing something? We've tried heat, porta power, penatrating oil, ect. I'm about ready to take the cutting torch to these buggers. Thanks for any info or compassion:)

friend of mine had the same problem. hadnt taken the loader off for years and his pins were stuck. he ended up torching em off so he could get at em to work on em. would try a penetrate couple times a day for several days, especially if you are useing it. good luck!

I am kind of confused I guess. I have a 720 loader but to take it off you have to unbolt the brackets from the rear axle and the front supports, one on each side of the frame. I don't understand what you are trying to take apart, unless you are just trying to take the loader arms off and not the whole loader.

It"s a quick attach just like the 158"s. But, instead of 4 bolts holding it in place on each side, it has a single pin that locks in place horizontally on the back side of each mount. Hope that helps. I"ve even built the opposite of a gear puller, a pin pusher. Didn"t work!! Looks like the torch is going to get a workout.

Make sure you are taking the mechanical pressure off of the pins. On a 720 loader: 1)tilt the bucket foward 2) Then push down with the lift cylinders. I usually lift the front wheels just a little bit. This pushing down makes the loader roll back into the mounting bracket tight. I have never had to cut the pins out of a 720 loader. I usually found out the they still had pressure on them.
