Today on my john deere 720lp std i broke a head bolt while trying to take off the manifold. anyone know where i can get all new bolts? i think there is 4

Actually there are only two head bolts, one per cilinder. You can also use a pice of 3/8 all thread and cut it to lenght, thred the all thred into the block and use a nut to hold the hed on. I ahve done this before and it worked very will.

the poor guy just dosn"t know the right names for parts if you read carfuly i think he is talking about the manifold bolts there are 4 on the ex that hold it to the head get them at you deere dealer spical size as i rember 7/16 x4.25

Odds are the new gasket will blow out just like the old one.
After several decades of hot-cold cycling and hot exhaust gasses. The contact side of the manifold and the top surface of the cylinder head will erode.
A machine shop surface grinder will take a few thou off while staying even and true.
It's not a tough job to pull the head. This would be a good time to measure the bores and inspect the valves, seats, guides and valve springs.
Plus having the head on the bench makes for easier removal of the bolt that is likely broken off.Without messing up the head threads.
