730 Diesel exhaust leak

Exhaust leaks out under hood,pipe does not seal tightly into bottom of oval muffler. Any suggestions to stop this?

Is the exhaust pipe long enough to get into the muffler itself?

Even when NEW they never did SEAL there.

I used the sealing rope meant for sealing the door of a wood stove on my 70D.

Get a kit from a stove dealership & wind enough 'round the pipe on top of the mount flange & fill the void under the muffler's flange to seal it up as you bolt it down. I have a 730 oval muffler on my 70.
