Just bought a project tractor and it appears that the only thing missng are the injector pumps. Anyone have suggestions as to where to find a set?

wow: You're probably missing the most important aspect of the tractor...I'd be suspicious of tractor if someone pulled or sold the pumps. Those 730's are a bear to fix..worked on two...parts are scarce and pricy...there is an outfit on ebay from Kanola, Iowa that has a lot of parts...you might just want to buy a parts tractor....

I would not jump the gun and be suspicious. There are many reasons why someone would take the injector pumps off.
If those are the only parts missing to make it run, you may just have a great deal.
There are several places across the US that work on the pumps, sell rebuilt ones, etc. Look online or in one of the JD magazines such as Green mag or Two Cylinder.
If you do not already have them, get the service manual and the parts book.
Good luck. The 730D is a massive power house for it's size, and fuel miser to boot.

Is the rack there? Are the injectors there? I have some extra pumps. There can be lots of little parts missing when pumps are missing. I have some extra pumps. I can have them tested or rebuilt if interested. Email me if interested.

The previous owner began restoration and then passed away. We grabbed everything we could find.

hope you have deep pockets, and alot of time,Ive just done a 730 electric start but it needed every thing,new crank, pistons main bearings oil pump, govenor, water pump, radiator, pto , and thats not all, cant start to tell you about the exspense.good luck.

If you know the owners family, it wouldnt hurt to ask a few questions, maybe he sent the pump of to be rebuilt?
