730 Pony Engine Carb Gaskets

As Duane said, a small engine shop can probably provide the intake manifold gasket, but you can also cut and punch one from some 1/16" heavy gasket paper. NAPA is a good source for his. I keep about 5 of my favorite sizes in roll form in my shop, and I haven't been to town for a gasket in a fairly long time. I even cut and punched one for my old Wisconsin trencher Zenith carb top to bowl the other day, but a new one will arrive with the new carburetor kit, so I'll replace that.

The spacer gaskets are about the thickness of poster board, or a cereal box, and this works well for those, but you could use the same material on all of them Check Ebay for a cheap gasket punch kit. At around $8, you 'll pay for it in no time. Just keep the punches protected from banging together and sharpen them occasionally. Keep a nice quality Xacto knife around and you'll make gaskets like a pro. On castings, you can "cut" them by tapping at a 45* tilt to the edge with a small hammer and it will cut them right off at the edge.

Yup, and if you put a ball bearing over the area where you have to make a hole, one rap and the ball will cut the hole out really nice.
