I am overhauling a '64 730, 267 engine. My question is how do you get the tachometer drive out so that I cam get the cam shaft out to change bearings? Thank you.

The gear for the tac. drive is on top of the cam shaft and driven from the cam shaft. The oil pump is driven from the crankshaft and is below the crankshaft.

As Jerry suggested, get a bolt that will thread in the top, drill a hole in the center to allow the stem for the cable to go up in it and weld a nut and use a slidehammer. The thread will not be exact but good enough to pop it out.
