I have bought a 730 diesel and when i went to start it the fuel transfer pump was stopped up. After changing it I was able to get fuel to the injector pump, but we pulled it around for 5 minutes and it won't start it won't even try to start. Can someone help? Thanks for the help!

Bleed, bleed, bleed, bleed, bleed, bleed ,bleed the filters. Toughest tractor ever built to bleed.Bleed, bleed bleed, bleed.

I never had any trouble bleeding them ?

Loosen up the bleed screws and the fuel will flow out as long as you have some in the tank.

If your transfer pump was stopped up your filters are likely plugged as well.

Gary....check the rack control rod that opens and closes the pumps when the throttle is advanced. If the tractor had been setting for a long time, it tends to stick. Remove the pump housing cover and watch the movement of the rod when the throttle is opened. You should be able to push that rod to the pulley side of the tractor with your fingers and it should return to the flywheel side of the tractor from the internal spring action.

"Tougher" is used in relation to bleeding the diesel fuel system. You don't bleed a "D", it's a gas engine.

The D is a gravity fed carbureted engine that is all fuel. It will run on just about anything that will pour and burn.
I'm wondering still however in what context "tougher" was intended?

Who knows ? I am still scratching my head trying to figure out why so many seem to have so much trouble with bleeding 2 cyl. diesels out ?
I must be blessed ? I just take the bleeders out and then fuel starts running out. They even fire up with new dry injector pipes for me. I was thinking they were among the easiest to bleed and fire up ?

You got me Mike. I always thought that that was the easy part of the job. When in doubt, crack one injector line at the pump and the air will come flying out at that point, but generally I bleed it sequentially from the tank down, through the filters, finish with the rack screw, and they pop off after a regular cranking. Wonder if he has a tank/sediment bowl problem that is just dribbling enough fuel through to make him think it is delivering fuel through the filters?

Could be ? They will run along time with no fuel !
I still laugh at myself everytime I remember back when the neighbor brought his 720 D up to my place for an oil change or something ? I started it up and drove it all around for quite awhile all the time thinking this thing has no power ? how does he use it ? I called him up and he asked if I turned on the fuel. Here he had always got in the habit of shutting off the fuel bowl when he stopped it because otherwise it would run into the crankcase while sitting. Here I was running around with the fuel shut off !!!! LOL !!!
I also fixed his leakdown problem. The delivery valve holders were loose.
