75 Tip index

I've used the tip list for some time and am very thankful for it. I recently did a lot of repair to my side distributor 8N and the list was helpful several times. Having to scan a lot of items to find what I needed got me to thinking it would be nice to have an index for it. So I sat down last night and created one. I looked on this web site and searched for one and didn't get a hit, so I've attaching a PDF file. It's a simple one and if anybody wants to expand or refine it, that would be great. And thanks again to the originators! Now to figure out how to attach the file. Spencer in Tallahassee

An excellent idea!

FWIW....?..the genesis of the 50 Tips was the notes I had written at random in my I&T FO4 manual. So I just started writing the tips in the order they appeared in the margins of my manual. Adding 25 more a couple of years later didn't help that randomness!
75 Tips

If you go to the LH side menu bar, under ARTICLES, you can find Bruce(VA)'s 75 Tips. It is also imperative that to be a FORD N-SERIES Tractor owner, one invest in the essential manuals which are just as valuable as any tool. Have the I&T F-04 manual for 9N, 2N, 8N, models and the I&T F-019 manual for the NAA Model. Next is the '39-'53 MPC (Master Parts Catalog) -a must to see all the major systems in exploded views as well as the complete part numbers and descriptions. The 9N and 2N models have their own Operator and Service manuals. The 8N revamped many of those earlier systems and thus are slightly different. If the admins on this site allowed access to the other N-Series tractor web site, there would be no problem sharing/linking info and manuals here, but they don't for some unknown reason. It's not a completion. The point of these websites is to help out folks with problems and issues with their old tractors, especially newbies. One huge example is "WIRING PICTOGRAMS by JMOR". This document alone should be allowed here. We don't discriminate on our site and will allow links to YTMAG. I fail to see any reason why they don't reciprocate here.

75 Tips

Tim,
No hard feeling here but it's been at least 15 years since Miss Kim forbade links to that site. Time to get over it cause it likely won't ever change.

Not being able to post a PDF file with the index, here's a cut and paste that I hope can be copied. Anybody want to improve it in any way, please do. And after paste it in this reply, it's not a neat as the PDF file. And a second thought, it you'd like to e mail me at [email protected], I'll be glad to send you the PDF file. Thanks again for the replies. Spencer

Just got my list from Spencer. Will print it off and place on top of Bruce's list in the shop. Thanks for sharing with the forum.

That's a really handy index. Thank you for putting it together. I pulled Bruce's 75 Tips into a Word document; completing it with an index makes it really easy to search.
