could you squeeze a 77 6 cylinder into a 66 with some modifiactions gas tank out shorten up the driveline and run an electric fan and take the old fan off

Be easier to just put 66 decals on a 77 with smaller tires. It'll fool the Deer guys at a tractor pull, maybe. Specially the two cylinder only Deer guys.

the reason that im wanting to do this is just to do something different and the main reason is because we tractor pull and where we pull at they have a 3000 pound class and as light as i can get my 77 is 4000 im not taking it apart but if i can find like a 770 or 77 motor to stick in a 66 if its possible and whos to say we have to run clear side shield just cover it noone will not know unless i tell them.

You might want to check the weight difference between the 66 and 77 engines first. I have pulled two different 66 tractors and one did not even have the lift and was over 3000 pounds with pressed steel rims. I always pulled both in the 3500 class where they did well.
Might get close with the oil drained out of the transmission, a light weight drawbar, a lantern light battery, no fenders, no side shields and a pint of gas. I have watched guys drain the transmission just before weighing in to make class.

In my opinion this would be a time consuming and expensive project. If you build up the original engine, I don't see why you wouldn't have enough power especially at only 3,000 lbs. You only need enough to keep the wheels turning. Run 3 3/4" pistons, raise the rpms, and get a good set of old hard 13.6X38's and watch the trophys roll in.

the only reason im wanting to do this is because i wanted something different then everyone else. because i bet nobodys got one like this im not really wanting to pull it but a couple of times just something diff to have ya know?

Last year there was a 66 with a 310 for sale on yt. So it is possible. When people say engines wont fit it makes me work harder to get it done
