bought an old 77 no side sheet metal and serial plate gone owner thought it was a 1955 has electic hyd cord and 2 remotes what do I need to look for to see if its the super ?

The sides of the frame. If it's a straight 77 it will only have the 2 big 4 inch holes in each side to slide the cultivator pipe through. If it's a Super,it will have those and 2 flat pads with drilled and tapped holes for bolting attachments to the side of the frame.

a 77 serial numbers will be behind the right side wheel on the tub. and a super should be up under the dash behind the hydrolics.. also my 49 77 has 2 belts in the front where my super only has 1

Just a little FYI,that's where the 77 serial tag was through 1951. The first one serial numbered as a 52 model had disc brakes and the tag was moved up under the dash to the same location that it is on the Supers.

Thanks guys It has a junky scratch built loader on it is coming off as soon as we get it home mabey we can tell more after that tractor has one like new tire good rims and runs needs all new sheet metal but for 400 bucks couldn't go wrong

Ditto to rrlunds comments.

Here is link to Tractor Data that has some of the finer particulars i.e. HP etc.

Look in top 1/3 RH corner to flip between 77, S77 and 770.
