My friend Gary say there "8n" is a 7n built during WW II to be used as an airport tug.
Does it exist?

Looks to be like an 8n withe the guard and hitch on the front.

2N was like a 9N but used less of the war strategic materials. With lots made, a few could have easily been made into airport tugs.

3 speed transmission, front mounted distributor, and bevel gears in the steering box (both shafts on the sides are in line) are the distinguishing characteristics of a 2n and 9n.

Thanks for the replies. Next time at the farm, I will see if it is an 8n or 2n. Where is the Serial Number located?

Serial number should be on the left side of the engine as your sitting on the tractor. Just below the head about center of the engine. If its an 8N it will have a 4 speed and the serial number will start with 8N then some numbers. If its a 9N or 2N the serial number will start with 9N and then the numbers
