What is the differance between a regular 8 N an one with (funk)? The only "funk" I was aware of was from some songs from the "70"s.

The "Funk" kit replaced the little 4-cylinder engine the "N's" were born with with an in-line flathead 6 or a V-8 flathead engine.

the regular N series was powered by a 23 to 26 hp flathead 4 cylinder engine. FUNK aircraft manufacturing made a kit to install either a indrustial 6 cylinder engine or a flathead v-8 in the N series tractor, as in getting 4 plow horsepower from a 2 plow rated tractor, cool tractors, just got to remember before you dump the clutch on a fire breathing 95 hp v8 N that the tranny and rear end were designed for 26 hp, you gotta ease into the power
