Can someone tell me where to check hydraulic pressure? Ours ended up getting water in the hydraulic oil and now it won't move. I assume it took out the pump. I have changed the oil and filter and that didn't help. We put a clutch and dual power in it last year so I don't think that's it.

it might have cracked your pump if you got a good amount of water in it. i bought a 9700 with a bad pump and tye hydralics were slow so i changed the pump there was a huge crack right down the side of it assuming the prev owner didnt change the oil ever. hyds are stil slow though.

The biggest thing I don't understand is how it got in there. It was inside last winter. We got it out last spring and it acted funny. We changed the oil and filter now it won't move at all. I assume I need to split it to replace it right?

to replace the pump no you dont have to split. there is a large square side cover on the right side under the fender behind the wheel. you take that off and its right there. i split my 8000 when i did mine but i didnt slpit my 9700. did somehow you get water in the oil before it went into the tractor. ive had it happen before. oh it isnt so bad replacing the pump out the side if you take the tire and center off just make sure it is very stable i was to nervouse to take mine off. it just make a lot more comforatble to get to instead of being crunched up trying to get it out.

Condensation!!! those big cases hold a lot of air, so if happens to be humid air, when the temp falls it is going to be raining (so to speak) inside those cases.

oh i called about that the power steering reervoir and cap about a week ago. is thhat something your still gonna save if we both go to the nys farm show. thanks

ok i still got your number. i will call you a couple days before or something like that. nothing i need right away. its been like this for 3yrs. had a plastic bag over it but the fan pulled it off from suction.
